LIONS CAMP at WRIGHTWOOD

FRIDAY, JUNE 1^ST – SUNDAY, JUNE 3^RD   

Please come and join us in helping with many different jobs around the camps.  What better way to do a Club Service Project and enjoy Fellowship with Lions from around the several districts of our Multiple.  We are sure we can offer everyone a ‘job’ to your liking!

FYI – You can arrive evening of June 1st {dinner on your own}

                                    or come to work for a day; your time is appreciated!

*****Bring a sleeping bag, pillow, toiletries, etc. – that’s all you need!

Listed are some of the projects that the Camp Board has selected to be worked on:

1)  Painting – inside and outside of the cabins

2)  Organizing parts and materials – shelving

3)  Landscaping – Raking – Tree Trimming

4)  Electrical work

5)  Trail improvements

6)  Splitting wood – hauling logs – chipping

7)  Housekeeping – window washing, etc.

Call your reservations into camp as soon as possible at the above number!  This will give us time to make the schedule and purchase the supplies that will be needed.  And most importantly the number of Lions you expect to come to camp, with their tentative arrival time!   We will also need to plan the meals for Saturday (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) and Sunday (Breakfast and Lunch) from the count you give to us.

We look forward to seeing everyone and having a great time…but we can only do this by having YOU in attendance!

Lions have supported CCI since its very beginnings in Santa Rosa, CA in the 1970’s. 

q       LPCCI (a Lions Foundation) was formally founded in 1983 (at CCI’s suggestion) to better function as a significant provider of financial and volunteer support to CCI through Lions clubs. 

q       LPCCI consists of an all-volunteer board of directors, more than 575 volunteer representatives around the country, and one paid staff-person (the LPCCI National Administrator). 

q       LPCCI volunteer representatives provide presentations at Lions club meetings, district cabinet meetings and conventions, and at other service clubs and organizations, to increase public awareness of CCI’s program and gain financial support, puppy raisers, etc. 

q       Lions and Lions Clubs support LPCCI through Life and Family Life Memberships, LPCCI Fellowships, Club Memberships, Abdul and Distinguished Service Awards, various sponsorships, and fundraisers. 

q       Many Lions serve as CCI puppy raisers, breeder-caretakers, Chapter group members, office volunteers, and goodwill ambassadors spreading the word about CCI’s program. 

q       LPCCI celebrated its 25^th anniversary May, 2008. 

q       To date LPCCI has donated more than $2.5 million to CCI. 

q       LPCCI needs volunteer representatives from every Lions district in every state, particularly in states where there is a CCI Regional Training Center.  Please call LPCCI to learn more about it.
